Who The Heck Is Chris Daltry And Why Is He So Pissed?
This is the only year that I haven't watched a single episode of American Idol. I didn't have the time or the patience for it this year. It's awful because they talk about it work constantly and I have no idea what's going on. Anywho, yesterday I turned on my computer and brought up my trusty Yahoo search engine and there's a picture of this guy looking all puffy in the face and pissed off. I thought to myself "Damn, that's one ugly, pissed off dude". After the reading the headline, I read that it was the latest American Idol reject. "Eh, shit happens" I thought to myself and went on with my morning routine. About an hour later, I go down the hall and there's quite the commotion in the kitchen before the show is about to start. It seems that this latest American Idol castoff was supposed to be the winner. People were literally screaming about this. I can't believe how worked up people get over this crap. The fact that Bush and the NSA have been wire-tapping our phone calls without permission since 9/11 also came out in the news yesterday...I'm a little more upset over that, but that's just me.
In other news, there's a great little gem of a restaurant in Waltham called Masao's Kitchen. It's a macrobiotic and vegan restaurant right on Moody St. Kind of a hole in the wall, but delicious! Order the #4 on the menu. As Ferris Bueller would say, "It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. "
I've been driving my mothers crappy 2000 Ford Taurus. To be honest, it's a piece of crap gas guzzler and I hate it. I've been looking into buying a car, but car dealerships scare the bejesus out of me, so I've been doing my research online. I've got it narrowed down to Toyota Prius, Toyota Yaris, Honda Civic Hybrid or the Kia Optima (the last one's a lie Kia is the poormans Hyundia). If anyone has any opinions or history with these cars, please let me know. One of these days I'll have to set foot in an actual dealership and I'd like to go armed with all the information I can. Because, also in the words of Ferris Bueller, "Who cares if they're socialists? They could be fascist anarchists. It still doesn't change the fact that I don't own a car."
It's been a long time coming...song of the day: Phenomena by Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Rock on Christian Soldiers!!!
